Mom-Baby Yoga with Helga Beer
Yoga
instructor Helga Beer took new moms through a flow of postures and
gentle exercises that focuses on and strengthens the areas and
muscles used for pregnancy and birth. She shared wisdom based on her
experience as a mother and from working with mothers over the years.
As a yoga practitioner and teacher, she describes her mission as being to create a center for the practice of hatha yoga that cultivates awareness and encourages each individual’s personal growth, honouring the tradition of the practice and preserving the simplicity of the discipline.
Here's what people had to say about Helga's class:
I could have listened to Helga all day. I thought the yoga was secondary to the understanding and information she shared about being a new mom and a mom in general. You could tell that she spends a lot of time with women in this phase of their lives. I'll be signing up for more of her classes. -- Erin
Helga was at such ease with the babies! It was a relief to not worry about crying Thomas. Sometimes I feel like I'm always trying to keep others happy by keeping him quiet, but with this group of moms I did not worry about it. And the fact that Helga picked him up and taught the class holding him was a great bonus! -- Sarah
